Liverpool approach Brazil’s Bernard

Liverpool targetNOT content with just Coutinho, Liverpool FC are said to be chasing yet another attacking starlet hailing from Brazil, in the form of Bernard.

The Telegraph have reported that the Reds are interested in the exciting 20 year old attacker, and have approached his club, Atletico Mineiro.

Bernard is the latest star to garner excitement in Brazil, and is currently being mentored by none other than Ronaldinho. Both players combined to help their club reach the Copa Libertadores final last week at the expense of Reds cult hero, Maxi Rodriguez.

The starlet is said to have a release clause of around £20 million; a figure Liverpool are said to have available for one of their ‘marquee’ signings Brendan Rodgers recently promised would arrive this summer.

However, with the recently failure to capture Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Liverpool know they face an uphill battle to sign players of such quality, without the lure of Champions League football.

As with the hugely linked Christian Eriksen, the aforementioned Mkhitaryan, and now Bernard, Brendan Rodgers believes the club can offer some of the brightest talents around the globe the right environment to flourish – something Philippe Coutinho has demonstrated during his career so far at Anfield.

I've produced work for many football media outlets & am now happy to run a major site on the club I love - providing our fans with a voice, and to bring as much information and news on the club as possible.
Having played football all my life, I aim to continue longer than Stanley Matthews...

We need to get Eriksen or Bernard quickly as everyone else seem to be on them. Can we make an official bid before we end up with none of the above!
