LiverpoolLIVERPOOL goalkeeper Brad Jones has claimed that want-away striker Luis Suarez’s attitude towards other members of the squad has been no different since he linked up with the squad for their overseas tour, according to The Independent.

The Uruguay international has been the subject of much speculation this summer, after publicly revealing his displeasure at life in England, though he has now rejoined his team-mates in Australia in time to face Melbourne Victory.

The striker was granted additional leave due to his participation for Uruguay in the Confederations Cup, it was during this tournament that Suarez’s agent, Pere Guardiola, informed the Reds that Suarez was after Champions League football, but would not attempt to force a move from Anfield.

Despite Suarez’s apparent desire to leave, goalkeeper Jones has claimed that he has not acted any differently around anybody in the club following his return, and the Australian expects him to stay at Liverpool.

“It’s good to have Luis and (fellow Uruguay international) Seb Coates back, most of the boys were joking with him about his Uruguayan television advert which we saw on the internet.

“He’s the same player we’ve been used to. Nothing has changed. He’s still here and we expect it to stay that way. We all hope he stays as he’s a fantastic player. I see no reason to doubt that.”

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.
