Liverpool FC have today confirmed that a loan deal has been agreed between the Reds and Stoke for winger Oussama Assaidi.
Assaidi, who has found first team chances very difficult to come by since his move from Dutch side Heerenveen, moves on a season long loan to the team from the potteries.
Stoke manager Mark Hughes had been keen to add some more pace to his team to help with his change of style and Assaidi certainly fits the bill.
The pacy wide man seemed to be a shrewd addition to the Liverpool squad when he arrived last summer, however there were rumours that Assaidi was signed prior to Brendan Rodgers’ appointment and given the fact that he only played 4 times in the Premier League under Rodgers, there would appear to be some substance to the rumours.
With Raheem Sterling and Jordan Ibe both performing well during pre-season and the signing of Iago Aspas it was clear that Assaidi would need to move on.
I am sure Liverpool would have preferred a sale as opposed to a loan but hopefully Assiadi performs for Stoke and Liverpool are able to recoup the money they spent on the player back in 2012.

sale, sale, no replacement. Now Toure injury who to replace him. Same thing likely to sturridge because we all know him as injury player.. Come on Fsg and BR you guys should wake up..
Don’t know why we signed him in the first place ?
This guy is useless . He won’t even get into the stoke team
He has pace, can dribble, willing to run at defenders but his crossing lets him and everyone down.. Good luck at Stoke Assaidi.
