EA Sports LiverpoolLIVERPOOL have confirmed on Liverpoolfc.com that they have agreed a new three year partnership deal with Electronic Arts Inc, making EA Sports the Reds’ official footballing video game partner from the start of the 2013/2014 Premiership season.

The partnership provides Liverpool fans with several perks, such as EA Sports allowing fans to play on Fifa 14 at Anfield for certain features throughout the course of the season.

Another feature of the partnership will be EA Sports Goal of the Month, which will allow fans to upload their best goals from Fifa 14 and win all sorts of prizes.

Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan, said of the partnership:

“We are thrilled to have EA SPORTS, one of the world’s leading sports entertainment brands, as our new partner. We know that so many of our Liverpool family, including fans and players, play EA SPORTS FIFA regularly so this new partnership will help bring the club closer to our fans in innovative new ways.”

Jamie McKinlay, VP marketing at EA Sports also chipped in, saying:

“We have over half a million registered LFC fans playing FIFA 13 and they all want to see authentic representation of their favourite Liverpool players in FIFA 14.

“We’re looking forward to delivering that authenticity, as well as a wide range of new and engaging initiatives for this historic club and its fans.”

Liverpool fans will also be able to download a special Fifa 14 cover free of charge, with three of the Reds’ most popular players.

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.
