The Metro reports that La Liga giants Real Madrid, just after completing a world record £86 million deal with Spurs for Gareth Bale, are willing to splash out another £45 million in to try and lure striker Luis Suarez.
Madrid are reportedly happy to rid themselves of several players to fund the move for the Uruguayan.
Suarez has repeatedly stated his unhappiness at Anfield during the summer, and was the subject of two failed bids from Arsenal, however he seems to have settled down and is content to remain at Liverpool.
Suarez scored an astonishing 33 goals last season for club and country, and that statistic alone makes it a very difficult situation for Liverpool, who have insisted he is not for sale.
Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, had also entered the fray, saying that he believes Suarez should stay with the Reds for at least another season, in order to show his loyalty for a club which has stuck with him through several high-profile controversies.
Speaking of the situation, Gerrard said:
“There are only really two or three clubs he should leave this football club for if he is taking a step forward. If we don’t qualify for the Champions League this season he can go to Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich – and he can go with his head held high.”
However, Suarez’s departure may be a lot sooner than that, with Madrid midfielder, Mesút Ozil, leaving the club for Arsenal for around £40 million, plus the departure of midfielder, Kaka, to AC Milan.
Along with that, striker Karim Benzema and midfielder Angel di Maria, who have also been attracting interest from Arsenal, may also off offloaded to fund the move for Suarez.

If he is indeed staying, then he has just increased his value. If now our valuation of him is £55m, he will be at least £80-85m by the season end if he keeps his mouth shut.With the rate we are winning( hopefully till the season end), and add Suarez into the team, we will qualify for CL..Suarez and Sturridge might even compete for the golden boots.
