ACCORDING to The Metro, Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has taken another step closer to full recovery after the England international got his leg brace removed.
The 29 year old was initially expected to be out of action until around Christmas with an ankle injury he picked up in the Reds’ 1-0 victory against Manchester United earlier this month.
However, the scans have revealed that Johnson is expected to return earlier than the original prognosis, with Johnson Tweeting a picture of his removed brace, meaning that he may be able to start training very soon.

That was the caption that accompanied Johnson’s cast photo, the cast covers the whole of his left leg and also his entire foot.
Despite the promising signs, there is no confirmation as to Johnson’s availability for England’s crucial World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland next month, though there is a higher possibility that he will be able to participate against Everton in November in what will be the first Merseyside derby under Everton’s new manager – Roberto Martinez.
