LIVERPOOL FC midfielder Jordan Henderson has spoken about Liverpool maintaining a title challenge this season, according to Sky Sports.
The Reds have been tipped by many as potential Premier League title challengers after their impressive start to the season and Henderson sees no reason as to why the Reds cannot be challenging and near the top of the league come May 2014.
“Hopefully we will carry this good start to the season onwards,” Henderson told the Daily Mirror.
“There is a long way to go so we will definitely just be keeping our feet on the ground and keep working hard in training.
“Come the end of the season, if we can keep our consistency going and playing the way we have, we will be OK. At the moment it looks pretty wide open at the top, but you never know how it’s going to turn out.
“Things can change at any time so we have just got to concentrate on ourselves and make sure we put in good performances every week.”
23 year old Henderson who has been an ever present for the Reds this season will hope to continue his good form in the hope of breaking into Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the up coming World Cup in Brazil.
