Will building a dynasty be enough for King Luis?

Liverpool FCI had promised myself not to write another column that contained the words ‘Suarez’ and ‘transfer’ in the same paragraph but situations alter cases and, in light of the latest Real Madrid rumours, it must be addressed sooner rather than later.

It is never easy to have a want-away player on your roster but when that player is a crucial piece of the top four puzzle, the situation becomes so much more vital.

Reds fans are currently licking their chops at the prospect of firing on all offensive cylinders in the upcoming fixture against Arsenal.  The three pronged attack of Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho promises a level of artistry second to none.

Would we have the same high expectations if it were Sturridge, Coutinho, and Aspas?  Or Sturridge, Coutinho, and anybody?

It is sad to say that, of the whole Liverpool side including Sturridge and Steven Gerrard, Suarez is the only truly world class player that we have.  There is no doubt that Sturridge has a deft left foot and some silky moves and that Gerrard is a legend and probably the greatest midfielder to ever play the game, but Sturridge is a grand-stander and Steven is a little past his sell by date.

Without Suarez, despite our early run of games without him, we are a seventh place club.  With his almost inevitable departure, we will feel the repercussions far into the future.

If we are to be long term contenders for both the Champions League and the league title, we need a Suarez, not only for his skill but for his capability to attract other top players to the side.

Apart from the magic he brings to the game, Luis’ profile and ranking in world football guarantee that those potential new signings, wavering between offers from other clubs, will be tempted by the opportunity to play with a player of his calibre.

That is why it is so crucial to hold on to Suarez at all costs and against the odds.  And that is why our run into January must leave little doubt that we are building a dynasty.

The only situation that will prompt Luis Alberto Diaz Suarez to stay is a declaration (through their level of accomplishment) that Liverpool is building toward world domination among the champions of Europe.  To that end, we must play well in the month of November, gaining the lion’s share of the points on offer.

But remember, Luis has a dream and that dream is Real Madrid, not the rebuilding of one of the most legendary sides in world football.  For all we know, even leading the Premiership by the end of January may not be enough.  Bringing in a quality midfielder in the January transfer window may not be enough.

It is very difficult to compete with a dream.

I stopped reading when you called Sturridge a grandstander. Please provide evidence to this. Ridiculous and disrespectful comment of the highest order. Pure garbage and nonsense.

If The owners can give B Rodgers 60-70M in January to bring in these 6 players, whilst B Rodgers ships out these three players in January:

    Players out:

Defensive players: GK: B Jones RB: J Flanagan

    Attacking Player: FD: I Aspas

And Rodgers brings in 2 good class quality defensive players to bring more depth and strength to back line in the squad:

1:GK: A Mccarthy(23 now, 24 in December) from Reading for 5-7M to compete and Cover Mignolet at club for next 5-7 years.

2:DM: M’vila(23) Of Rubin Kazan to compete with Lucas Leiva for next 2-5 years for 10-15M

    Attacking Players:

Two creative/offensive, mobile centre midfielders to eventually take over from S Gerrard :

3: CM: B Etxrebarria(26) Of A Bilbao for 10-14M to compete and Cover J Allen for next 2-3 years.

4: CM: Koke(21) Of A Madrid for 16-18M to compete and Cover Henderson for next 3-6 years.

5: RW / RWF: M Salah(21) Of Basle for 12-16M to compete and Cover Sterling for next 5-7 years

6: LW / LWF: B Arfa(26) Of Newcastle for 10-15M to compete and Cover Ibe for next 2- 3 years.

The three dead wood average players out and these 6 good class players in and Our club would have more class, creativity, goals, mobility, pace, quality, speed, strength, steel and depth to club and Squad.

As our club need more goals from Centre of park and from Out wide, something we clearly do not have at the moment. But in Arfa, Extrebarria, Koke and Salah, those 4 players would bring in at least 20-30 goals extra to side from January to May

  • Liam says:

Rodgers is building NOTHING. No dynasty. Suarez will still insist on leaving next summer as he knows this . Fsg must appoint a well respected manager and get rid of David Brent

  • asif shrzchypan says:

Suares will go as FSG are signing no top players , there is no good future with john Henry
