MelwoodPhilippe Coutinho is set to be named in Liverpool’s squad for their clash with league leaders Arsenal this weekend.

The Brazilian midfielder has been out of action with a shoulder injury he picked up in the Reds 2-2 draw with Swansea City back in September.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers is still not sure whether left back Jose Enrique will be fit to return to the squad for Saturday’s match.

Rodgers said yesterday at his press conference:

“Jose will be a question mark for the weekend, but Coutinho is great. He’s been given the all clear by the specialist to come in. He’s been training for the last few weeks, so he’ll come back into the squad.”

With playmaker Coutinho fit again, the Liverpool boss will have a selection headache in midfield with Jordan Henderson, Lucas, Steven Gerrard and Joe Allen all now fit and available.

I don’t see any selection headach here, the coach should go for aggressive player since we can’t play a free flowing game with arsenal

It’s simple, gerrard, lucas and coutinho who support the SAS infront. If we want to win then roger should play these midfielders YNWA

  • Lee says:

Coutinho is a good player, but I don’t want him to start today because of the match fitness.I would prefere Henderson to start on the midfield today, then coutinho will join them in the second half.
