Following Liverpool FC’s shocking first-half collapse against Aston Villa last weekend, the Reds – most fans included – will probably be happy with any kind of a win tomorrow, in a game that could potentially be a big upset waiting to happen.

Liverpool have traditionally, in recent years, travelled very poorly in the FA Cup, particularly when the opposition are drawn up from lower leagues.

Highly regarded in the Championship for their style of play, Howe’s Bournemouth will have to fancy their chances against what will no doubt be a patched up Liverpool side, given the news in mid-week that Liverpool have now lost Glen Johnson to injury for an indeterminate amount of time.

Sitting 32 places above Bournemouth in the league standings, Brendan Rodger’s side must approach the game in a much different light to the Villa game last week and ensure that an upset is not an option.

Saturday mornings’ game will undoubtedly be a chance for many of the Reds fringe players to get some time in the side and with injuries and the impending derby approaching on Tuesday, expect to see a much changed side rolling up at Dean Court this morning.

MATCH ODDS

Liverpool 1/3; Draw 4/1; Bournemouth 8/1
