GA-Liverpool-1Liverpool FC furthered it’s commercial reach today with a deal with Indonesian airline, Garuda, to sponsor the teams’ training kits.

The airline will become the clubs’ very first official kit sponsor from 1st June for 2 years which extends the relationship with Garuda from the official airline partner from 2012.

Whilst the club enjoys one of it’s biggest fan-bases in Asia – and particularly Indonesia – the deal will undoubtedly extend that even further, with Garuda standing as one of the regions leading brands and airlines.

Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC, said “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Garuda Indonesia, who will become our very first training kit partner, “

“As one of the world’s biggest football clubs, we will be able to help grow their reach in new markets while strengthening our relationship with a partner that we have already shared two fruitful years with. Together we are building on success.”

The deal follows less than a week after the commercial deal struck with American brand, Dunkin’ Donuts, as the clubs’ owners FSG look to push Liverpool as one of the world’s leading sporting ‘franchises’.

Looks like FSG are using our club the brand ( liverpool FC) to make money to line there own pockets ! I mean 2 sponsorship deals in a week and not a penny to spend on players! And don’t give me that bull it’s a hard market in January , you’ve had 4 months to get plans in place , Ian ayre and FSG fk +++ you donuts from a very very unhappy liverpool supporter !

  • Kav says:

Yah , More money for the fookers to put in their pockets cos it aint going on the team

  • kemlynroadite says:

Stadium development news section has been taken off the clubs website. Stadium planning permission submittal was due in Spring 2013. Chevron have pulled the sponsorship deal. Various reputable sources in the US indicate parties showing interest in LFC rather than the Redsox (please no more yanks).

All of the above is fact.

Looks like they are going to move us on, or just milk the new tv deal, which they get a load of cash for even if we win, draw or lose. They will say why spend millions chasing the CL dream, Liverpool still makes money for FSG.

    IAN AYRE IS A TRAITOR

  • Andy Barton says:

actually the longer this goes on with them getting more and more commercial deals and not signing anyone decent makes me think they are just making us more valuable so they can flog us in a year or two and make some money. Until I see FSG spending big on some decent players I can’t have any other opinion I’m afraid. Even utd with a trillion £££ debts spend £37m on mata

  • Gary Lyons says:

people running our club are morons , yanks out

  • Martin says:

More money for the red sox so . greedy yank feckers out !!!!

  • Aaron says:

    They must be gutted BR&FSG.

I mean what the hell are they playing at? This isn’t any way to go about making us a mid table team, three first half goals, a missed penalty and a fourth goal against CL rival, without conceding…….that’ll really upset the board.

Will upset most negative fans too as it means they have to go a week hearing how great the team played (in parts), praise for Rodgers tactics and general positivity about on field antics.

Oh well, I’m sure they’ll all pass the time throwing darts at their anti FSG posters and wishing for a defeat against Arsenal so they can get back to negativeville once again. Where criticising BR&Co will be at fever pitch, scavenging over the caucus of common sense.

Anyway, not bad for a a championship level manager. Well done boys.

Yawn . What a boring fool

Nobody cares what the troll Aaron says

    • Diego 'Digger' Souness says:

Sadly winning against Everton is our ‘cup final’ these days, im glad we won but this does paper over the cracks of an unambitious team.

  • Diego 'Digger' Souness says:

‘Win the title? I just wanna finish above Everton’ – Gerrard(2 months ago)

The above quote says it all about our season.

    • Aaron says:

Yeah it does say something Digger, it says no one goes from 7th to first in one season, never in the PL era.

Finishing above Everton almost guarantees CL football these days.

So I guess what Gerrard was saying is to finish above Everton for the first time in a few seasons would signal relief, achievement and possible CL.

Depending on where you get your quotes from and at what time of year, you could almost construct entire contradictory sentences.

Gerrard has said numerous times how much winning the title would mean to him. He’s obviously been round long enough to realise we are not title contenders this season, using his quote has done nothing but show what a level headed guy he is, not lacking ambition, and a full grasp of reality.

Unfortunately same can’t be said of you and your motley crew of downbeats.
