DenmarkWith the season now over, the dust settled, the aftermath can now begin and Liverpool’s Daniel Agger has pulled no punches in explaining how he in no way intends to be a bench-warmer at Liverpool.

Agger said “I’m not thinking about my future. Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark and then I’m looking forward to a long five-week holiday.

“I don’t know (if I’ll still be here next season). That’s up to the manager. I can’t go and put myself on the team-sheet. I’m no one’s third choice.”

Many Reds have expressed their sadness at the thought of losing the great Dane in recent days, as it begins to look more and more likely that Agger – along with Kolo Toure & Sebastian Coates – may be the casualties of a defensive overhaul by Brendan Rodgers.

How do you feel about the thought of losing Dan Agger?

We need our vice captain in that defense area 🙁 just compare the games with him and without him. A lot of differences, plus he is very loyal to the club and having someone that loyal is a blessing. I hope Rodgers gives him more chances in the next season and beyond.
