At the time of writing it’s been 15 days since the final round of Premier League matches kicked off. It feels like a lifetime since we last saw Luis Suarez galloping in amongst defenders like a hare, or Steven Gerrard marshalling his troops like a hardened general.
With the World Cup still weeks away, the remaining cup and play-off finals just haven’t been enough to fill that un-fillable void that the lack of BPL football leaves.
Not even the excitement of extra time in the Champions League final could match the anticipation of the opening day of the Premier League season. It really can’t return again soon enough!
