Suso On His Way Out of Liverpool?

SusoReports in the press on Tuesday and this morning suggest that young Liverpool midfielder, Suso, may well be on his way out of the club, to Portuguese giants Porto.

Having spent last season on loan in Spain with Almeria, the 20 midfielder is apparently the prime target of new Porto manager Julen Lopetegui who has set about bringing in some new, vibrate talent to challenge for Benfica’s title next season.

It had seemed that Suso was assured of a place in the squad for next season, after having returned from his successful loan spell with the Spanish club, although it did seem he was being touted as part of the deal for Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno. However, with that now seeming unlikely it certainly does come as a surprise that the young Spaniard would be on his way out when it seemed he was one of the clubs’ hottest prospects.

With a proposed fee of around £4 million though, it may make sense to Brendan Rodgers to bring in as much extra cash as he can in order to fund the moves he feels are going to benefit the club the most next season but if that was the case it would surely make more sense to put Suso in as a part of the Moreno deal, with that now seemingly having hit rocky ground.

Either way, should Suso leave, then Liverpool will have lost themselves a genuinely talented youngster who will have a bright future ahead of him wherever that happens to be.

Do you feel that letting Suso leave would be a mistake? If he stays, what is his place in the Liverpool squad next season?

In Brendan’s first year both Suso and Sterling were given brief spells in the first team with both impressing, and both slated for big futures with the club.
For some reason Sterling has been allowed to continue development at the club, while Suso has been shunted off on loan.
He hasn’t even been given a chance, and is now being sold… WTF is going on?
This is not going to be popular with the supporters.

Brendan may be a good coach, but his dealings in the transfer market leaves much to be desired.
Suso was sent out on loan, while Aspas and Alberto came in for a combined fee of around 14m.
Both failed miserably to make an impression…

Why was Suso not kept instead? He’s a far better footballer than either of those two.
We effectively wasted 14m for nothing, and will now compound that error by letting Suso go for a measly 4m… Someone explain that to me please !!

This is not good. The boy is a serious talent. His ball control in close situation is exceptional. And if he goes there should be buy back clause.

Agree with all the comments – we can’t let him go.

LFC will need the likes of Suso,Ibe,Wisdom, Taxiera for next season. Will be a big mistake to let any of them go.
