England’s World Cup hopes may be over but Roy Hodgson’s side have one more shot to salvage some pride as they face Costa Rica in Group D.

Frank Lampard will captain the side and make his first appearance of the competition as a replacement for Steven Gerrard, who starts on the bench. It could be the final appearance in an England shirt for Lampard who is considering international retirement after the tournament.

Elsewhere, Luke Shaw will replace Leighton Baines at left back after the Evertonian picked up a hamstring strain against Uruguay. Ross Barkley and Jack Wilshere are also expected to start in the middle.

Follow all the action with our Live Blog with all the finest pics, videos and stats to keep you entertained as Hodgson’s side aim to leave with at least a point from this year’s World Cup.
