Reports in the Italian media this morning claim that Liverpool have made a £17.5 million bid for AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli.

Italian sports outlet,  Sport Mediaset report that Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, has now turned his attention to Balotelli.

Ordinarily, these sorts of reports can be taken with a pinch of salt but as more reputable sources have started to pick up the story it would appear there may possibly be some truth to these claims.

Following reported interest in Balotelli last month, after comments regarding the forward, Brendan Rodgers denied reports that he was chasing the Italian so either the reports today are completely fabricated or Brendan has been allowing reporters to bark up the wrong trees while he pursues his real targets.

What do you think, is Balotelli a genuine target and, if so, is he the right man for Liverpool?

We sold “trouble” so don’t see why we would want another “troubled” player. Balotelli is talented when he feels like it but not nearly as talented as the “trouble” we’ve just sold so why bother?

  • khethah says:

balotelli is the best option we have ryt nw we have to sign him

  • Alfred says:

pls BR, we don’t players like balotelli cos he’s arrogant,Bony and Cavani are not good strikers to me because the both fellas don’t even know how to position themselves for ball. pls I falcao and if possible u can get us Torres back from Chelsea to continue what he left behind at the Kop arena.

A good option, comes with high risk, but from what’s available. Yes please
For those who say Cavani, falcao etc… Pipe dreams. We won’t get them.
Falcao is dreaming of Madrid, and psg can keep hold of whoever in the bench if they need.
Without Ballotelli , we won’t make forth
    With him, we might do.
16 million? Resale is about that anyway.
    Ynwa
