Following Liverpool’s hard earned 2-1 victory over Southampton on Sunday, it again became abundantly clear that Liverpool need more options going forward.
With the return of Markovic and Lallana Brendan Rodgers will have a number of options available that could have made the victory against Southampton all the more comfortable but the Reds manager admits that another striker is now a necessity. Speaking after the game, he said “I do still think we need another striker.
“It is something that we will look at but that will depend on the availability of one. Sunday was about winning and we got there.
“So we will search for that through to the end of the window but you see the players, the quality that we have.”
With the likes of Lavezzi, Falcao and Cavani all being linked in the past few weeks, there are definite options currently being chased by Rodgers.
