Liverpool’s greatest ever player?

As English football’s most successful team on the continent with five European Cups to their name and an illustrious history in the domestic game, Liverpool have had a host of top, top players through the years.

The last couple of decades have not been the most fruitful on Merseyside, but the Reds have enjoyed the talents of midfield stalwart Steven Gerrard, who is seen as one of the greatest players of his generation.

Liverpool’s skipper is famous for his ‘Roy of the Rovers’ playing style and has provided some truly iconic moments such as his showing the 2005 Champions League Final and the last gasp wondergoal the following year to help Liverpool to FA Cup glory at Wembley.

His name will be forever etched into the club’s folklore, with a whole generation of supporters seeing him as the ultimate Liverpool star.

Although he’s a big personality on the pitch, Gerrard is a rather down to earth character during interviews, and the fantastic Darren Farley has picked up on that for Coral’s marketing campaign for this hilarious video. Watch it, you won’t regret it…
