Hart’s City future is in doubt and Liverpool are reportedly interested in the England number 1

While many of us may have started to feel ever so slightly better about our result on Saturday evening, watching rivals Everton, Manchester United both somehow throwing away winning positions, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Liverpool have been atrocious in all but a couple of games so far this season.

The discussions about whether the time for the captain to no longer be an automatic starter are for another day, as it is unlikely Brendan Rodgers will ‘drop’ him anytime soon. However, that is not so much the case with his first-choice goalkeeper who, even before the season began, was reportedly under a huge amount of pressure from Rodgers to improve on last seasons shaky performances.

So far this season, that has not even looked close to becoming a reality and the Reds, having already been linked with a move on a free transfer for Victor Valdes, are now being linked – courtesy of a number of sources – to a move for Manchester City’s Joe Hart.

The City player is England’s number one and is the best English ‘keeper in more than a decade, and most sides would kill to take a player of Hart’s quality from City who are rumoured to be keen to replace the 27 year old after he’s struggled to find consistency in the last 2 years.

But while Hart may be a huge improvement on Mignolet, he wouldn’t be without his problems and any fee for the player would be in the £12-15 million bracket, at the least.

At present, it’s nothing but speculation on the part of the tabloids, no doubt but should Hart’s transfer availability change, there is no doubt that Liverpool would be daft not to at least take a closer look at the player.

Would Hart be a suitable replacement for Mignolet? Let us know how you’d feel about the signing in the comments.

Hands down, these move could be a dream come true for every liverpoolfc fan especially the situation we have with the def and dump keeper like mignolet, not alone can hart bring qualities but leadership as well. So finger crossed his going to be great for #LFC and may be best we ever had for the last decade.

Man City can’t allow a goalkeeper like Joe Hart to move on for any reason whatsoever, but if they do, sorry. However, Simon Mignolet is another Pepe Reina but his form is too soon to collapse. Liverpool should look for a black goat when it’s not yet dark.

Any keeper would struggle in our team right now. When we lose the ball in the final 3rd there are gaps everywhere. Its a team game and when the team starts pulling their weight our goalkeeping and defensive stats will improve. Our problem is a tactical one which Rodgers needs to prove he can address, starting with what to do when Gerrard is man marked

Thank you. The idea should not even be entertained. Just a ploy from hearts agent to get him a bumper pay rise. Nothing more , nothing less.
