Liverpool Reportedly Nearing Valdes Deal

Victor Valdes looks set to become a Liverpool player in the next month or so

According to press reports this morning, Liverpool are ‘closing in’ on the signing of Victor Valdes, the former Barcelona ‘keeper.

Liverpool had long been linked with a move for the free player but the rumours died down during the international break. However, following a series of poor performances from current number 1 Simon Mignolet, and a long string of errors and individual mistakes from the Belgian, Liverpool look likely to make Valdes their 3rd senior ‘keeper.

The Daily Express reports that Liverpool will put Valdes through a series of physical and medical tests in the coming weeks and Liverpool fans could well be seeing Valdes very close to signing once the next international break is over.
