Balotelli improved but was still unable to make his mark in front of goal

One positive that could be taken from Saturday’s game – a clean sheet. But when you start putting that sort of positive spin on a poor performance, you know you’re in dire straits.

Liverpool improved late on, with the introductions of Rickie Lambert, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson but the levels of cutting edge were low, whilst those of ineptitude in front of the opposing goal were high. A number of fringe players will be given a chance on Tuesday evening and anybody that impresses may find themselves fighting to start away at Newcastle next Saturday morning.

    I think the issue now is that may be rogers should be using two stricker in a match, and balloteli should buckle up his leg he really need it. Their is no striker that played in liverpool that didnt succeed he should have it in mind

    Why roger cant look for a africa striker that they can hustle for ball, daniel s. Coming back will be more kind to babateli
