Rodgers need these two to be at their best to stand any chance against Real Madrid on Wednesday
After injuries and poor form, Liverpool didn’t need another hopeless (along with hopelessly lucky) display to add to Brendan Rodgers woes, particularly with the rather scary prospect of Real Madrid on the horizon. But that is exactly what the team served up on Sunday, with Mario Balotelli coming on the end of most criticism.
The game against the Champions League holders may not be the Reds most important of the season, but it is certainly the biggest game at Anfield up to now and the atmosphere will hopefully be unlike anything we’ve seen for many a year.

I probably agree with the team on the whole but I wondered why no Coutinho. So my choice would be to take Gerrard out and put Coutinho in. Who would you take out to put Coutinho in?

Sunday’s line up made by the manager was not bright, bcoz why coutinho on bench and again Lallana out for subs, instead of doing that, both coutinho and lallana should play full game. Why also moreno nd manquilo were not featuring? Finally we ve to be serious when we are playing against realmadrid. good luck

I vehemently disagree Ballotelli should lead the line; I thnk so far we lack creativity on the final third push sterling furtherup so to create channels for Mario ;for me the real crisis is in defence it’s been atrocious really

this was thesame thing i pointed out in the last match.. Someone please make brenden r. Undastand that we lack penetration in the final third; not because the likes of gerrard, sterling, lallana, coutinho et..ll; cnt provide the pass but because balotelli and lambert can make the runs neither are they fast enough when they tend to.! Please we need a determined performance and i trust fabio borini would offer use determination and runs in abundance.. Thats what we need on the counter not someone whos link-up play is non-existant. Any team with Suarez would have been challenging last season . Everton, spurs and even southampton . He was the 30 points a season difference between mediocrity and challange.
The ONE job Rogers had, which was to sort out the defence, He failed miserably. The chickens are now coming home to roost.

It’s irrevelant who we play, we’re going to get a thumping. I think the most important question about LFC at the moment is, who’s the fraud? This needs to be asked simply because it is clear at this stage that someone at Anfield is. Is it BR? I think not as he showed last season that with the correct players that he’s indeed a good coach. His signings have to be questioned as the only definate success at this point in time is Sturridge. Hower he still isa decent coach. The fraud in my opinion is our owerns FSG.
I’d even consider Lambert to Mario Balotelli at the moment to be fair but Borini is probably the best option, unless we go with Sterling as the ‘false9’.
