Launch ImageLiverpool Football Club today announced Betfair as the Club’s Official Betting Partner in the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, Bulgaria and Italy.

The relationship will see Betfair using the strength and scale of LFC’s digital platforms to connect with fans in these regions, offering them great gaming pricing on every LFC fixture.

“We are delighted to be joining forces with one of the world’s largest online betting organisations”, commented Billy Hogan, Chief Commercial Officer at Liverpool FC.

“Regionalising partnerships means that we are able to work with brands, such as Betfair, in countries where they have the strongest presence and where our footprint can best match their brand objectives. Ultimately this means that we can deliver relevant and engaging programs in those regions”, he added.

Since 2012, the Reds have been evolving their global betting partnership strategy, focusing on aligning with key betting brands to deliver a geo-targeted betting experience and enable the Club to enhance the offering to betting fans regionally. This new approach has been a success for the Club, which can be seen in the announcement of this new partnership.

“We’re excited to be working with a club of the scale and fame of Liverpool Football Club”, said Mark Ody, Betfair’s Brand Director.

Ody continued: “Everything about Liverpool Football Club is iconic. The Kop, the passionate fans, the Liver bird on the jersey, the entertaining football. It’s a great match as Betfair excites consumers with a supercharged betting experience, bringing fans closer to the action through our innovative products.”
