Sturridge’s will return brings the promise of goals and, thus, an upturn in team form

After missing over 90% of Liverpool’s games so far this season, Daniel Sturridge has finally returned to training with the club. Having initially impressed at the beginning of the season and having seemingly struck a harmonious partnership with Sterling and Balotelli against Spurs, Brendan Rodgers hasn’t had his best striker to choose from.

With 36 goals in 52 games since the striker joined from Chelsea, Sturridge has finally started to show that he has more than just potential, as he matched perhaps the world’s 3rd best player (Luis Suarez) blow-for-blow last season, only narrowly missing out on matching his goals tally through injury.

But while many believed the Barcelona striker would be irreplaceable, nobody could have seen the greater impact that Sturridge’s absence would’ve had, despite it being clear that all but the best sides would’ve missed a player of his qualities.

His return to training will serve as a timely boost to the team however, particularly the likes of Sterling and Coutinho who thrived with a striker of Sturridge’s style and class ahead of them and with the club not being in action again until 23rd November, there’s every chance that we’ll have last season’s 2nd top scorer available.

Does Sturridge’s return to training signal the start of Liverpool’s season or is it concerning that our success or failure appears to weigh on the one player’s shoulders?

yes we don’t know the importance of him till now but my advice goes to the coach, I this Brenden Rodgers is over rating his player or his team but opening games with opponent, he should play defensive and run on canter, that is what we started with last season

Still sturridge won’t impress liverpool fc coz he is a moderate striker but not a world super star though he is much better than Mario Balotelli.
He can also impress with the likes of sterling and philipp countinho.
