At present there are few ways in which the start of Liverpool’s season could get any worse but over the course of the next week, the Reds could see themselves slip almost too far behind to claw themselves back into contention in the two competitions that should mean the most to them.
Following the latest spineless, spiritless offering from Liverpool at Newcastle on Saturday morning, the team face perhaps the toughest away test they will face all season at Real Madrid in one of the greatest grounds in world football – it doesn’t get much bigger than this; it’s here that legends are made and memories are created. But given how poor most of the squad have been this season, it could be the place where futures are decided and careers are extinguished before they’ve begun. Which is why, with that in mind, we’re looking toward a ‘safety first’ option and hope that Brendan feels the same way because, while gung-ho and throwing caution to the wind worked wonders last season, we simply don’t have the personnel (or the personnel in form) available to pull off a remarkable start to the game that sees it won inside 25 minutes as we witnessed so often last season.
Usually, we’d go for a ‘predicted starting line-up’, Brendan is unlikely to budge too much from his usual system and line-up so what you can see through the link below is likely to be little more than wishful thinking. We’ve gone for a conservative (or if you’re Mourinho, make that cynical!) 4-5-1 system.

I wish LFC victory over REAL but there level performance is too low. Though, we lose SUAREX to Barca but that is not the reason why we are back to our root.
LFC Is behind the bench. I always got angry at their game, especially, when lose or draw with a profile team.
