Mignolet again let in a couple of goals today, as Liverpool’s terrible defense again emerged

Well, with New Year’s Day comes a hangover but if you’re a Liverpool fan in recent years it also involves the potential for disaster, as Brendan Rodgers’ side again conspired to drop points and put in a turgid, pathetic performance.

The discussions will surround the continuing direness of any back 3 or 4 that Rodgers puts onto the field and the presence of the captain that many now believe has become too much of a sure thing without actually warranting a start but Rodgers’ team selections are the biggest issue at present, with in form players being left out and midfielders playing at full back, while full backs sit on the bench. After a brief return to the displays of last season, we came back down to earth with a bang today.

I wonder when exactly this our stubborn coach will learn. And his insistence on always palying Gerrard who is the obvious weak link is annoying

Would be perfectly happy to never see Gerrard play for Liverpool again.the team is totally out of balance when he plays,he offers little to nothing, think the other players could have scored the penalties as they scored 14 against Middlesbrough.he needs to move on for the good of the team, cost them a lot of games since August. Team isn’t strong enough for passengers.

Very poor management . Although lucky to be 2 up , we were in control of the game but a ridiculous tactical decision to bring on borini for lallana cost the win

urgent changes need to be made in terms of buying a solid goalkeeper or take ptre chec on loan, a defensive midfield player like wanyama and an attacker-Benzema would perfectly suit but i guess if he will come..

Lets not forget one thing here, after 2.5 seasons and 200 mill, we still do not have goal keepers, a defense and other than Suarez which had left and Sturridge who are injured, no strikers. Is this our Captain Fantastic’s fault ?

2 players out of 24 who can be qualified as a success, who decides to buys them? Who is the one that insist we do not need a defensive coach because he an egoistical know it all who would rather sacrifice our club rather than his pride ? Who decides to buy that “calculated risk” known as Balotelli and then concludes that ” he does not suit our system”, something a person with half a football brain could see from the beginning ? Who had pushed out players like Reina and Agger only to spent nearly 27 mill and bought replacements who are complete disasters ? Who with his tactical stupidity always managed to grab a defeat or a draw from the jaws of victory like yesterday’s game at Leicester or last seasons Palace game ?

Our wonderful Captain did not do any of the above, Brendan Rodgers did. It’s easy to blame it all on Gerrard but without him and Rafa, we would not have our 5th European cup. We were 3-0 down and won, can any of you imagine BR have the kind of tactical acumen Rafa have won under those circumstances ? With BR around, we could not defend a 3 or 2 nil lead what more at 3 goal down.

We all know our Captain is not getting any younger, its up to BR to manage that at this stage of his career and like everything else, BR had made a mess out of this.

I might sound like a broken record but this is worth repeating, BR DID NOT get us 2nd place last season, he LOST the title for us, NOT Stevie. Suarez was the reason we finished 2nd and its plain to see without him how we would be doing now. If BR is such a fantastic manager, how come we are in such a mess with only the loss of just 1 player ?

Our fans and more importantly JH must see BR for what he really is, a con man who won NOTHING in his career and managed to sweet talk his way to this prestigious job and MUST be sacked NOW ! A minute later is a minute overdue.

Some get euphoric after the Swansea game, but not many of us as we know this is not sustainable with BR managing our club.

Very poor decision on part of B.Rodgers to replace Lallana by Borini. I wonder why he brought in Markovic.

Goalkeeper…should playing with kids… defense vlery poor..should never play 3 central back…should adopt 4-4-2 tactics…with Sterling as winger and attacking line up Ballotellli
