Lallana will be looking to work of some of the rust against Bolton
After the league cup slipped through our fingers last Tuesday, it became clear that Liverpool’s best hopes of a domestic trophy lay in the FA Cup, even despite still having to negotiate a potentially embarrassing upset away to Bolton on Wednesday evening.
There’s still the Europa League, of course, but the FA Cup represents the club’s best hopes of winning silverware for the first time under Brendan Rodgers, particularly now that a number of top sides – including Chelsea and Manchester City – are now eliminated.
