On Sunday, a whole host of players will grace Anfield from past and present that, in their prime, would have combined to make a team of almost incalculable worth.

Current stars, such as Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres, will be joined by stars of the game past and present, with names like Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and… John Terry.

And on Wednesday, a whole raft of new names were announced to take part in the All-Star charity match for the LFC Foundation. The new names included: Harry Kewell, Jay Spearing, Ashley Williams, Scott Dann, Peter Gulacsi, Charlie Adam, Anthony Gerrard, Gael Clichy and Stewart Downing.

Former Reds’ boss, Roy Evans, has also been drafted in as one of the team’s managers in a day that is sure to give fans from all over the world a real spectacle, and perhaps a chance to see players that they were unable to see otherwise.
