Another game, another three points and it’s beginning to feel as if we’re all having deja vu and we’re really just experiencing the last 4 months of last season all over again.

Three months ago and a team as dedicated and hard-working as Burnley would’ve caused untold problems for the Reds and, three months ago, they almost did. But this is a different beast they’re dealing with now, and Liverpool comfortably saw off any threat that the away team offered.

This was another match in which Liverpool created 20 or more shots and, in truth, the scoreline could’ve been much greater but there was never an occasion where Liverpool looked as if they were even out of third gear; even the two goals the Reds did score barely broke a sweat.

So, that leaves just 10 Premier League games in which to maintain Champions League qualification and, considering all rivals also won, it clearly won’t be an easy task.

Those final matches are bridges we’ll cross when we come to them however, for now, check out our player ratings below.
