What a result! Nobody could’ve seen that second half coming, particularly after such a lame and tired second half and extra time in Turkey last week. But after a fairly even, and very exciting, first half at Anfield today, Liverpool really didn’t look back in a second half where Manchester City were lucky to come through with just the 2-1 defeat.

After starting with all four of the club’s strikers on the bench, the feeling was that Liverpool were heading into the game looking to play on the break and attempt to simply not lose but by the time Daniel Sturridge was finally introduced the game was already won and Liverpool were great value for the three points.

Spot on with the ratings. If Allen makes us miss Lucas less does Henderson make us miss our Captain less? Interesting!!!
