The Chelsea midfield star has again been linked with a move to Anfield

From time to time, a transfer story crops up that won’t go away that, regardless of how you feel about it, seems completely implausible.

In the month we’ve had reports of PSG’s star man, Zlatan Ibrahimovic being a main target for Liverpool in the summer after he grew frustrated that Edinson Cavani was considered almost as highly as he was at the club.

This month, that implausible transfer appears to be Chelsea’s Oscar moving to Anfield in the summer.

It’s one that has come up once or twice in the past week or so and some of the less reputable dailies seem to have clung on to it for dear life. However, as they say: there’s no smoke without fire and Oscar is a top player, regardless of who he plays for.

Despite reports though, the player is reportedly happy at the club. And his appearances this season appear to back up the fact that Chelsea are quite happy for him to stay, with 37 games this season, scoring 7 goals.

Of course, he’s played less this year than in his previous two seasons but in previous seasons Chelsea have played more games, with a smaller squad so Oscar was certain to have seen more game time.

Regardless, it’s one that still seems dubious. Even more so considering that Chelsea will reportedly be looking to recoup a decent amount on top of the nigh on £20 million they paid for him in the first place.

Can you see Liverpool ever making a move for Oscar and, if so, is he a player you’d be happy to see at Anfield? Let us know your thoughts below.
