Adam Lallana believes that Liverpool can still make it into the top 4

With just 3 games of the Premier League season remaining, all hopes of Liverpool making it into next season’s Champions League appear to be a distant dream, despite being only 4 points behind Manchester United.

Had the Reds been able to take advantage of United dropping so many points recently, Rodgers’ side would be in a strong position and could even be as far as a point ahead themselves. However, when rivals have dropped points, Liverpool have invariably conspired to match those results.

Liverpool’s Adam Lallana still believes the team can make the top four however. Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, he said: “It’s not over yet.

“We can still finish in the top four but we need to take maximum points now. We’ll keep fighting right to the end. We all know what can happen.

“United have some tough games to play and I am sure they will drop more points.

“We have to put pressure on United by going to Stamford Bridge and getting three points. Pressure is a tough thing to deal with.

“We need to beat Chelsea and Palace and hope it all comes down to the final weekend.”

As Adam points out, Liverpool still have a visit to Stamford Bridge to contend with – a game which may prove to be the pivotal encounter for Liverpool. Having already wrapped up the title, it’s likely that Chelsea could either be very lax and allow the Reds to get an unlikely three points, or they’ll be buoyed by their title win and all but end the Reds Champions League hopes.

Either way, there is still plenty to play for and, while unlikely that Man Utd will drop so many points in the next three games, if all of the squad shares Lallana’s attitude, there’s every chance to hope the team can do all it can to keep the pressure up until the last day of the season.

Last season we slip for Chelsea and drew a very critical game to Crystal Palac which cost winning EPL tittle. Amb afraid if we ll gain ECL spot.
