New Balance have revealed the Reds’ new third kit for next season

A fresh approach to a classic look; New Balance’s LFC third kit sees the return of the popular bold black design incorporating a gradient effect that is sure to make the kit stand out next season. Inserted breathable taping incorporating flashes of red and white have been engineered into the shoulder seams and collar ensuring the kit stays true to the heritage and prestige of LFC. A lifestyle inspired polo collar with semi-concealed two-button placket and two-way reverse tipping allows wearers to customise how the collar is worn, whilst always promoting the club colours.

The main body of the shirt is constructed with New Balance’s moisture wicking fabric, NB Dry, which helps keep the player cool on the pitch by releasing moisture away from the body, making it fast-drying. The kit is anatomically fitted to form around the player’s body shape for ease of movement. Mesh panelling under the arms helps airflow around the body and is crucial in keeping the players comfortable during games.

The goalkeeper shirt takes inspiration from the kit worn by Bruce Grobbelaar, during Liverpool FC’s European campaign in 1984-85. The iconic yellow colour is restored and enhanced with the latest in shirt technology featuring articulated elbow panels allowing for increased movement.

General Manager of New Balance Football Richard Wright commented: “The third kit brings an opportunity to mix style with performance. I believe the design team have done an exemplary job in achieving this. New Balance was built on the reputation of leading performance technology and we uphold this for all our kit designs.”

LFC’s Martin Škrtel added: “I’m sure this will be an iconic shirt as it will be the last one worn by Steven Gerrard in his final game for the club. It looks and feels great and I think the fans will really like it too.”

Billy Hogan, Chief Commercial Officer, Liverpool FC, said:  “We are delighted to be launching LFC’s third kit in partnership with New Balance. The New Balance team have done a fantastic job in creating a very strong design and I’m sure that the kit will be a popular choice with our supporters.”

Not gonna buy next season’s kit if Rodgers is still at Liverpool… Not worth buying since the squad is becoming more and more mediocre under his management… With his favourite players such as Allen and Skrtel still around and playing despite turning in mediocre performances week after week, it pains to see the team getting weaker as the seasons go by… With Stevie now gone, and Hendie likely to be the new captain, there is now no inspirational figure in the club to look forward to… Hendie’s recent regressing performances after his new contract is something that the fans should be worried for next season… Even players such as Sterling and Suarez know that under Rodgers’ tutelage, Liverpool will be going nowhere and will be trophy barren under his spell in charge… Why support the club’s coffers when they’re putting you through these painful times despite our pleas…???
