It’s perhaps not the most surprising story, as we approach the end of the season, but reports last night claimed that Raheem Sterling was preparing to tell Liverpool that he had no intention of signing a new contract at the club.

Numerous sources, including Sky Sports, the Daily Mirror, and the Daily Mail are all reporting that Sterling is preparing to let the club know that he wants to leave the club and will hand in a transfer request.

The 20 year old caused controversy last month when taking part in an interview claiming that the club weren’t allowing him to achieve the major honours he craves. And, now, the winger is blaming the club for releasing information about his contract breakdown (a reported £100,000 a week, the player reportedly turned down), which has led to a drastic downturn in the support of the fans.

Sterling had been bigged up by Brendan Rodgers all season so it will come as another bitter blow to the Northern Irishman who has seen his own stock fall dramatically in the past 6 weeks after a seemingly terminal run of form.

The interested parties are the usual suspects, with Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid all reportedly keen, with City and Arsenal supposedly willing to offer the likes of Theo Walcott, Eden Dzeko, Stefan Jovetic and Kolo Toure in exchange.

How do you feel about the latest reports, do you want Sterling to say or has he become more trouble than he’s worth? Let us know your thoughts below.

If he wants to leave then let him. We don’t need or want players who behave like him. Just make sure we get plenty for him and on our terms.

If he wants to leave please let him pack all his belonging out of infield, our history will never change, lfc will never relegate for that 100% sure.
NOTE: we need to replace our sluggish manager, he can never bring top players to liverpool never. How can a manager replace best players with potentials? How can a manager spent over £100m without maquee signing. God sack him.

The lad thinks he is the finished article, he isn’t. 40 million pounds if he wants to leave and it can be replaced really well.

Problem is, Milner, ings and austin awaits us with brendan
