The Ukrainian forward, Andriy Yarmolenko, is apparently looking to move on from his current club Dynamo Kiev after supposedly saying that he is ready to make a move to the Premier League.
The 25 year old has long been a target for a number of top European sides, with nobody yet willing to make the plunge but the Kiev forward is coming off the back of another good season for the Ukrainian champions, scoring 18 goals.
Available for around £20 million, according to the Mail Online, both Liverpool and (guess who!) Tottenham are interested in the player who, despite interest from PSG, is much more keen on a move to England.
Meanwhile, the Liverpool ECHO have reported that the club are planning to go back to Southampton with an improved bid for promising young full back, Nathaniel Clyne.
Having previously had a bid of around £10 million rejected, the club are not going to be deterred and will return this week with a fee closer to what Southampton are asking for.
While the Reds were criticised last summer for attempting to spend the club’s whole transfer budget at the South coast club, it’s unlikely many fans would have an issue with bringing Clyne in.
The 24 year old has played over 100 games in the past 3 seasons for Southampton, making 4 England appearances in the last 2 seasons and will no doubt be keen to follow a number of his former team mates up to Anfield.
Another southampton player. I wonder if he is worth 26 million, same as lalana (after all, he’s english)!
We have now become a running joke
Optimistic to say that Clyne “will no doubt be keen to follow a number of his former team mates up to Anfield”
Suspect the fact that he’s been linked with bigger and better clubs such as Man Utd and Chelsea (who can offer Champions League football) will provide at least some doubt…?
That and the massive failures of Lallana, Lovren & Lambert hardly breeds confidence in Rodgers/Liverpool’s ability to utilise Southampton players to their full potential.
we need at least one world class center half not another fullback
