The off-season for modern day, Premier League footballers, generally means sunning it up and attempting to stay out of the clutches (or lenses) of the British tabloid press.

However, for Liverpool’s latest young academy star – Jordan Ibe – this summer has begun quite differently as he looks to work on his shooting (amongst other things) at Melwood with Alex Inglethorpe and Reds’ legend, Kenny Dalglish.

The young attacker had a great spell, after his return from a loan to Derby County, making 14 appearances and impressing everybody with his speed and ability, but primarily his work-rate, and has a huge future at Anfield after having signed a 5 year contract.

Following the training session, Ibe posted on Instagram: “Good session, improving during the off season with Alex Inglethorpe and the legend himself Kenny Dalglish.”

The 19 year old had picked up an injury prior to an U20s tournament and was giving up a chance to take a longer break to be put through his paces, ahead of what will be a potentially breakthrough season.

Many Reds have since taken to social media expressing their delight at Jordan’s dedication and attitude. Could a certain someone take a leaf out of Ibe’s book? Let us know your thoughts below.
