It doesn’t get much bigger than the Champions League final, and although Liverpool won’t be contesting it (although, we may have been had we still been in it.. ), it’s hard to deny that the prospect of seeing Juventus playing Barcelona in Berlin is a mouth-watering prospect.
There’s no doubting that we’ll be watching Europe’s two top sides going head-to-head tonight for our viewing pleasure, to contest the biggest single game in club football.
As we said yesterday in our preview, both sides are already coming off the back of winning league and cup doubles and will be looking to make this the club’s third piece of silverware of the season. How often do you see two sides going into a Champion League final looking to do a treble? Not very often.
