LFC legends Robbie Fowler and Didi Hamann joined community coaches from the Club’s official charity, Liverpool FC Foundation, who attended The Setapak School for the Blind to deliver a football coaching clinic to their school football team.

The Foundation provided a specialist coaching session to 30 youngsters who are all part of the school’s football squad.

The Club’s mascot, Mighty Red, was on hand alongside Robbie and Didi to cheer the team on and hand out some LFC goodies afterwards.

The school, which caters for children age 13 – 19 years with blindness and visual impairment, is supported by the Club’s main sponsor, Standard Chartered as part of their ‘Seeing is Believing’ global initiative to tackle avoidable blindness.

Liverpool FC Ambassador, Robbie Fowler, said: “Didi and I had a great time helping to coach this talented team alongside the Foundation. In fact they were teaching us a few tricks along the way.”

Andrea Cooper, Head of Liverpool FC Foundation, added: “We were delighted to visit The Setapak School for the Blind and deliver a tailored session for their talented football team.

“We have supported Standard Chartered’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ initiative for a number of years now and it’s great to see one of the schools that they work with and the real difference it makes.”
