With Liverpool’s main summer transfer business almost wrapped up, there will undoubtedly be one or two joining the club ‘for the future’, as is often the case. This summer, it appears that youngsters Allan Rodriguez de Souza and Angelo Fulgini are being lined up.
However, whilst Allan looks likely to become a Reds player, Fulgini now appears to be set to stay in France, at least for the foreseeable future.
The Internacional player had impressed LFC coaches earlier this year and trained with the first team this week, with a view to a move believed to be worth around £500,000 to his club. Nothing has been announced, at present, however.
The fact that the young Brazilian has trained – and impressed – with the Reds this week means that the chances of him signing are pretty good, and for such a small fee he’ll be a relatively minimal risk at such a young age.
But claims (albeit on Twitter) today report that Valenciennes president, Eddy Zdziech, has said that the U19s player is likely to sign a contract to stay at the club. The 18 year old played 15 times for the Ligue 2 side this season and has attracted the interest of Manchester United also, reportedly.
Whilst the reported Twitter quotes from the French club’s president appear to dampen Liverpool’s hopes, until there is official news either way, we’ll have to wait and see.
