According to reports in the past day, Liverpool are believed to be weighing up a move for a young Real Betis star-in-the-making in the form of Dani Ceballos.
The young midfield star has been making something of a name for himself in the past 12 months, helping his side make the jump back into La Liga and a number of clubs – including Real Madrid – are thought to be monitoring his situation, with just 12 months to run on his contract.
At just 19 years of age, the midielder has been very impressive and would no doubt command a decent fee but with just 12 months left on his contract, Liverpool would be able to sign Ceballos on a pre-contract agreement in January.
Having scored 5 goals in 33 games last season for the promoted side, Ceballos will be considered an integral part of Betis’ side, particularly with the prospect of him having a successful transition to the top tier bringing a higher valuation, and Betis will be loath to let the youngster go.
However, Diario de Sevilla report – via the Mail Online – that Liverpool are quite a way along in negotiations with Betis and the player’s agent, so there may be some truth to this.
