LFC will take on Manchester United in Stockholm in half an hour

Liverpool Legends Robbie Fowler, Steve Harkness and Phil Babb got in some last minute training ahead of tonight’s match against Manchester United Legends at the Friends Arena in Sweden. The three former Liverpool stars were pitted against each other on the Gung-Ho obstacle course at Aintree Racecourse with Phil Babb coming out on top.

The Liverpool FC Legends team will be managed by all-time leading goal scorer Ian Rush, with Robbie Fowler as captain. Joining them will be former players Jason McAteer, Didi Hamann, Sander Westerveld, Phil Babb, Stephane Henchoz, Luis Garcia, Vladimir Smicer, Bjorn Tore Kvarme, Patrik Berger, Jerzy Dudek, David Thompson, Salif Diou and Steve Harkness.

Legendary midfielder Bryan Robson will manage the Manchester United Legends, with MU Foundation trustee Denis Irwin in the captain’s position. They will be joined on the pitch by former United stars including Dwight Yorke, Ronny Johnsen, Quinton Fortune, Russell Beardsmore, Clayton Blackmore, Dion Dublin, Lee Martin, Karel Poborsky, Ben Thornley and Swedish winger Jesper Blomqvist.

Proceeds will be going to Liverpool FC Foundation and the Manchester United Foundation to help support the two charities community projects.
