The Schalke youngster has been linked with LFC today
You’d think the summer transfer window was a century ago the way the rumour mill has started to wind back up again in the last few days, with Liverpool linked – again – to several of their summer targets.
Today, the rumour mill is back in action with claims from Bild, via the Daily Mirror, that Liverpool are monitoring Schalke’s young superstar Leroy Sane.
The 19 year old attacking player is highly thought of in Germany and has started the current season in fine form, scoring three goals in nine games. The youngster played 14 games last season and has been capped at U21 level for Germany already.
The Reds reportedly had an £11 million bid rejected for Sane in the summer and ended up signing a 2-year extension for the German side. Liverpool are supposedly still very keen and are expected to move for the midfielder in either January or next summer but Schalke are reportedly not likely to let him go for so little, with Sane now seemingly a main player in Andre Breitenreiter’s team.
