Can Coutinho returning be enough to push this LFC side to victory?

Two hard to take defeats in succession in the Premier League and now a tough away game in the Europa League, with the squad looking nervous and out of form – this usually the recipe for disaster, particularly so early in the season.

But returning Reds star, Philippe Coutinho, has pleaded with his team mates and fans to remain calm during an important period for the club.

Speaking to Liverpool.com, Coutinho said: “It is vital to stay calm, mainly because we are just at the beginning in all competitions.

“We have a long season ahead and many things can happen. The Premier League is tough – all clubs have great teams – and we know twists and turns will happen.

“We have to not only remain calm but also to work hard to achieve what we want on the pitch.

“It feels bad to be out and not being available to be selected and help the team but we have to look ahead now and get over these two recent games we lost.

“There are lessons to be learned so we can move on and avoid making the same mistakes. We have a great team here and we know we can improve – and that’s what we’re trying to do right now.”

The little attacker certainly has a point but most fans want to see action from the team; a demonstration that they have the will and ability to turn this early season slump around.

And the return of Liverpool’s Player of the Month for August is certainly a reason to be cheerful and should be a big boost for his team mates, following his absence in Saturday’s defeat.

Does Coutinho have a point, is calmness in order at the moment and can his return bring a upturn in form? Let us know your thoughts below.

If Lfc want to challenge at the top, it’s quite simple for them, FSG should get a top manager who can still make good use of few top quality player’s they have got and make the Fans proud once again, YNWA.
