Rodgers has asked Liverpool fans to get behind the team today

Liverpool will welcome Norwich City to Anfield today, having not won a game since August 17th, with the pressure on for three points and a performance to match.

After a draw in France on Thursday, the pressure on Rodgers has not abated and anything other than a win today will surely see that escalate even further.

But the Liverpool manager has pleaded with the Anfield faithful to support the team and has promised his players with do everything possible to come away with a win.

Speaking in the match day programme, via the Independent, Rodgers said: “I’m well aware that the last two league matches haven’t produced anywhere near the level you want to see from a team representing you and we are all working night and day to put that right.

“However, this team, this group of players, needs your support and needs you to stay with them and help them as they bed in and find their fluency.

“It is something you have done brilliantly for us throughout my time here; it’s what sets you apart.

“Anfield is important to us and the impact you make can be the difference. We never take it for granted and we are fully aware that the responsibility is on us to perform for you, not the other way round.

“Thank you for your continued support – as always we will be striving to give you a result to be proud of come the final whistle.”

Without a win in over a month and just four goals in all competitions this season, Liverpool will have to go all out to ensure victory. And if rumours that Daniel Sturridge will be getting a start are true then that seems to be the case.

Talk about sounding desperate. The team gets support, it’s him and his clown like tactics that don’t.

Yep, the last two games , Brendan .hahahaha, it’s so funny . The guy is an insult to my intelligence.
It’s not two games, it’s all this season, and the last one, and the one when your tactics cost the title.
Incredible, how determined the British based media seem to be about keeping the man employed at the cost of our club and future
