Rodgers is under immense pressure again after last night

For all intents and purposes, last night was probably Liverpool’s most impressive display, purely in terms of chances created and style of attacking play and had the Reds won by several goals, no doubt Rodgers would have spun a tale of character and creativity.

In reality, it was a pathetically toothless display from a group of players who couldn’t be making it more clear that they don’t feel they have any direction. Oh, and let’s not forget, the team were also facing a team currently sitting in 10th place in League 2.

40-odd shots at goal with one actual goal sounds much less impressive too when you take into account that that was over 90 minutes and extra time.

Yes, we came good on penalties in the end (despite missing two ourselves) and Adam Bogdan can rightly be pleased with his display during that shootout.

Bogdan’s penalties performance aside, there wasn’t much else to impress. Onto the belated player ratings…

  • Liverpool forever says:

    Rodgers OUT
    3 years >> still bad
300 million spent >> still bad
Backroom staff all changes >> still bad
    Why waiting to sack HIM
    I have no idea
