The former Dortmund manager has reportedly been approached by the club

It may be the worst kept secret at the moment, but as Liverpool fans, we’ve become a perennially pessimistic bunch (despite those claims that we always think ‘this is our year!’) and most assume we’ll hash up the signing of the popular German somehow.

But he has apparently confirmed that he’s at least had talks with LFC today, as the MailOnline claim.

According to the Mail’s site, Klopp was quizzed by a Bild journalist in Leverkusen. When asked about joining the 48 year old replied: “There’s nothing to say.

“Neither a definite yes nor a definite no. I’m going home now.”

Former Dortmund manager Klopp was reportedly in good spirits. So, if he is – as expected – about to take over at Anfield then he’s obviously fairly happy about it.

According to the Mail, FSG are due to hold a board meeting which will effectively ‘rubber stamp’ Klopp’s arrival as replacement for Brendan Rodgers.

Klopp’s had reportedly had reservations regarding the club’s existing ‘transfer committee’, having worked under a director of football at Borussia Dortmund. The only real sticking point for the German manager was that he have final say on signings, something which the club appear happy to grant.

Should all go smoothly, it is expected that Klopp will sign a three year contract before the end of the week and take over as the new Liverpool manager.

Can Klopp be the shot in the arm that Liverpool need? Let us know your thoughts below.

Well done FSG for listening to the fans . Whilst the fans were tweeting the owners in a polite manner for a new manager they knew it would eventually turn to anger unless swift action was taken. Klopp looks like the right choice but he will need time as the current squad is just not good enough.

Thanks FSG, we the fans really appreciates all your effort to bring Klopp to Anfield…if for him to have the final say on transfer(I know you already agreed to that), which we all know its best for both the manager and the club, is the option then I see nothing holding us back. YNWA
