The Germany international has again been linked with a move to Anfield

It’s taken over a week for the links to return but the press have finally relented and decided to once again link LFC with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus.

The Reds have been heavily linked with Reus for the best part of 18 months, since Luis Suarez’s departure opened a superstar shaped hole in Liverpool’s attack but after having signed a new deal and committing his future to Dortmund the rumours had died down.

But now that his former boss has now taken over at Anfield, it was almost inevitable that those rumours would resurface, and so they have via the Metro.

The story comes via the ever reliable Fichajes.net, and simply claims that Liverpool FC ‘could be in the running’ for the 26 year old Germany international who has was a star man under Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund after replacing the outgoing Mario Gotze.

Reus has been heavily linked with most of Europe’s top clubs in the past few years, during which time he has been one of the biggest stars in the Bundesliga. The Dortmund man can play in a number of positions across the attack, scoring 60 goals in four seasons for the club and would greatly improve any club’s attack that he signed for.

It would seem strange if Liverpool did move for Reus in the next couple of windows though, considering Klopp appears to have ruled out a move for any of his former players. But should the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid make moves, then it would seem counter-productive for LFC to not at least be open to the possibility.
