The Swansea man is reportedly a target for Klopp’s Liverpool in the January transfer window

According to reports today Liverpool are looking to sign Swansea attacker Andrew Ayew in the January transfer window. You’d think it would’ve been easier to just sign him in the summer when he was on a free transfer, but far be it for Liverpool to do things the easy way.

These rumours come courtesy of ESPN who claim that new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had tried to sign Ayew twice before at Borussia Dortmund and would not doubt have moved again for the Swansea man in the summer before he joined the club on a free transfer.

The 25 year old Ghana international is technically classed as a striker but, in truth, is far from an out-and-out central man, preferring to play either deeper or out wide.

That hasn’t stopped him from being fairly effective in front of goal however, averaging between 8-16 goals per season during his time at Marseilles. He already has 4 goals in 8 games since joining Swansea, so the Premier League clearly hasn’t gotten the better of him.

The reports are that Klopp is eager to make him his first signing at Liverpool and the Ghanean has bags of experience for a player barely half-way through his career and would represent a very interesting acquisition should the claims prove to be true.

Would you be keen to see the Reds sign Ayew, or should he be overlooked in favour of other targets? Let us know your thoughts on the Ghana international below.

Sure, was expecting him to have been signed in the summer, moreover he is a boyhood LFC Fan. If he’s not signed in January maybe next summer.

Pius…………..He’s a professional footballer meaning he does it to earn a living not because he yearns to one day play for Liverpool . If your going to be ambitious and one day play for Europes elite why would he choose Liverpool ? Get real !!
You speak like signing him is a formality , have you forgotten he recently signed a contract at Swansea ? I don’t think Monk would even entertain selling him , let alone too LFC . Get over your history you loser !!!

What is Liverpool’s fascination with Swansea City players/managers , why don’t you fuck off and scout your own players ? I’m surprised you haven’t tried to sign our toilet attendants , bar staff and hot dog sellers yet ! Every decent player the club signs , Liverpool some sniffing around . You’d swear every footballer on this planet wants to play for LFC . Your not the big club you once were , move over for the likes of Man City , Arsenal and Chelsea , you’ve had your day , Even united stuffed you !!! The nighty Swans are bridging the gap and sooner or later we’ll be a bigger club than you .

I heard Klopp is interested in signing the bloke who sells hot dogs outside The Liberty and is considering a big money offer for the guy that cleans the bog in the East Stand .
