Cristian Tello is the latest in a long line of Barcelona players to be linked to Liverpool

How many times have there been reports along these lines over the years? If you include the links of the likes of Bojan, Pedro, Delofeu, Sanchez amongst others, there have been have a heck of a lot of Barca forwards linked with Liverpool over the years and today it’s the turn of Cristian Tello again.

Tell is a name that’s cropped up many times over the years but has been absent from the rumour pages for some time. He’s been around at Barcelona for so long though, that you’d be forgiven for thinking he was at least in his late 20s.

In truth, he’s not too far off that age, but at 24 he may still have a successful career elsewhere, despite a stuttering few years at Barca. That said, his record for the Catalan side is relatively impressive. He’s played 86 times for the Barcelona first team over the last three years, scoring 20 goals. In a side containing the likes of Sanchez, Pedro, Messi and now Neymar and Suarez, it’s a small miracle he’s even managed that many appearances.

But, as Delofeu himself is showing at Everton right now, just because you can’t break through the Barcelona triumvirate doesn’t mean you don’t have the quality to make it at the top level elsewhere. And that is what Spanish website A Bola are reporting: that Tello wishes to continue his career away from the Nou Camp.

The midfielder/attacker spent the last seasons and a half on loan at Porto, where he has had a very successful time so far but he is reportedly keen to continue his career elsewhere once his loan ends.

Would Tello be a good signing for Liverpool, and what would he bring to Klopp’s team? Give us a shout in the comments below.

I dont know mate , we need a striker for sure because of the injury list , we cannot stress Benteke, but on the other hand Klopp is someone who develops the existing talent pool, that is exactly why FSG got him on board in the first place. But he might get someone on loan and if he plays extremely well , he will try and complete a permanent transfer.
