With an injury list that’s growing by the day, Liverpool could very well struggle to cope with the demands of Premier League, Europa League and Capital One Cup football once the international break has passed.

Of course, once we hit January, there is the FA cup to contend with too. And unless Jurgen’s men get some sort of break soon, he’ll be lucky if he can even field a first 11.

That’s all very dramatic, obviously, but the first team has been struck with an inordinate amount of injuries this season and it’s clear that some reinforcements will be needed in January.

And, according to former Danish star and German football correspondent Jan Aage Fjortoft, Liverpool have lined up the Schalke star, Leroy Sane, as their main man in January.

Sane made his first team debut in 2013 and has since played 29 games over the last season and a bit, scoring 10 goals in the process. The year old can play in either an attacking midfield/wide role, or more centrally as a forward; something that would greatly interest Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

With the Reds down to the bare bones up front at the moment, Sane would certainly be a welcome addition to a very weakened attack.
